“In November, the earth is growing quiet. It is making its bed, a winter bed for flowers and small creatures. The bed is white and silent, and much life can hide beneath its blankets.”
~ Cynthia Rylant
November retained its name (from the Latin novem meaning "nine") when January and February were added to the Roman calendar
For many, November fills us with gratitude and family. Others consider the 11th month of the year to be somewhat bleary.
But if you look closely, holidays like National Cinnamon Day,
National Doughnut Day, and
National Homemade Bread Day can make November quite cozy.
For all you fall-loving people, cling to every moment of cinnamon candles and crimson-colored walks. Winter’s chill is just around the corner.
