Sweet Home Alabama

Home of the civil rights movement, Alabama is a state that offers a rich and diverse mix of history, culture, and nature.

It was the first state to declare Christmas a holiday in 1836. The first 911 call was made in Haleyville in 1968. And it is the only state that has an alcoholic beverage as it's state drink - The Yellowhammer made with Conecuh Ridge Whiskey.

Oh, and it is illegal to play dominoes in Alabama on Sundays. And if that doesn't make you start pitching a hissy fit, wait until you hear that it is also illegal to participate in bear wrestling! Go figure!
