Thanksgiving Day - Fun and Follies

For many of us, the things that make Thanksgiving special aren't things at all, but rather the unique traditions we celebrate each year with friends and family.

Whether you are keeping traditions or starting new ones, you'll want to keep everyone busy and having a great time while the food cooks to keep them from getting restless and storming the kitchen.

Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade

Enjoy some apple cider and donuts, some light breakfast/brunch faire, or other fun nibbles.

Decorate Cookies

Have some sugar cookies ready to go and provide icings, candies, etc. to let your guests decorate their own cookies.

Work on a puzzle together, play some family board games or Thanksgiving trivia.

Work up an appetite by playing some outdoor games such as tag football, cornhole, or hay bale bowling.

Enjoy some time around a campfire. Provide some throws in case it gets chili.

Share stories of the past, especially if you have older family members present.
