4th of July - Nibbles

"One flag, one land, one heart, one hand,

One Nation, evermore!" — Oliver Wendell Holmes

Have little nibbles set out at the very start of your party. A cold beverage and some goodies will get everyone relaxed and in a party mood.

I like to provide something for every pallet - fresh, sweet, salty, and savory so anyone with dietary restrictions will have choices.

Of course you can always go with your standard favorites, but adding a little red, white and blue will add to the festivities.

Fresh is easy with all the summer fruits and veggies in season.

Candies, white chocolate covered pretzels, cookies and ice cream will handle the sweet.

Popcorn, Cracker Jacks and pretzels change up the traditional chips for some salty goodness.

Stuffed jalapenos, pigs in a blanket and grilled pineapple and kielbasa will add the savory.

Throw together a charcuterie board with a little of everything.

Keep in mind food safety on hot summer days.
